Freedom

This canvas/sculpture is inspired by 'free love' and the celebration of 50 years of legalising gay sex. The freedom to Love whomever you choose, no labels, no boundaries.

"My work is mixed media and collage based and I use foraged and found materials alongside traditional silversmithing techniques and abstract painting. The Male torso has been angle ground in half and adhered to the canvas. Highly decorated with a mixture of vintage broken crockery,  driftwood, upcycled and handmade jewellery pieces, juxtaposed with synthetic and organic matter such as foliage and flowers. The contrast of masculinity with 'feminine' floral d�cor - the collaged pieces emphasize the breast and heart area."
