The Pink Princess

I am a traditional artist living in Torbay, creating stylized oil paintings and pencil drawings.

My work focuses on portraiture represented in a popsurrealism or lowbrow art style.

I am inspired by a combination of personal experiences and feelings alongside cultural influences from cartoons, video games and books.

This piece is a fun interpretation of Adventure Time's Princess Bubblegum throwing her in to the style of popsurrealism.

The pink princess is burdened by the daily pressure of ruling her candy kingdom, so bringing her to life outside of her cartoon realm with a more serious tone befits her sense of duty.
