Mischievous Minds

I'm a freelance Illustrator and exhibiting artist based in Plymouth currently studying a masters in Illustration at Plymouth College of Art.

In my short time as an Illustrator I've worked with various individuals to produce editorial illustrations to accompany pieces of creative writing, articles, poems etc, while exhibiting work across the South West.

I've always gravitated towards work that sparks curiosity in the viewer and I try to take this on board with my Illustrations, deliberately trying to hide the deeper reflections that on the surface looks fun and light-hearted but on further inspection echoes much darker subject matter.

This was in many ways a self reflection as well as exploring mental illness. At the time I was talking to someone who described themselves as 'having a thousand thoughts a minute and not knowing what to do with them' so I wanted to create something that tried to capture this manic process with a collage of random thoughts/feelings/subject matter on one page.
