Low tide, Full moon
Painted on recycled fabric an abstract work with reference to the atmosphere created by rocky pools on the beach at low water.
My background is in textiles and design. Since retiring I have returned to painting and for some time have concentrated on sea and landscapes, working in oil or acrylic.
I find myself moving more into abstract works where I can express my feelings and use the process of painting as a means of expression without the constraints of representational art.
My paintings are on the borders of representational and abstract art. Each painting develops in its own way without a plan. Colour and texture are important elements of my work.
