Low tide, Full moon
Barbara Nolan
Currently living and painting in Teignmouth Devon. I have had a passion for textiles, colour and all things creative since I was a child.
After getting a degree in Fashion and Textiles I taught in secondary education but on retirement I have had time to give to painting and printmaking.
The subjects of my paintings are varied as what I enjoy is the process. This means is that I will paint or draw anything that attracts me.
My style tends to be quite loose and it took me years to develop a way of drawing with which I am comfortable.
To perhaps misquote David Hockney I believe that true art comes from the hand, the eye and the heart.
Painted on recycled fabric an abstract work with reference to the atmosphere created by rocky pools on the beach at low water.
