Andy Walker
Andy Walker is based in the Cotswolds and specialises in landscapes, seascapes and botanical studies. He became a professional artist following his selection for an exhibition in the Saatchi Gallery and Chelsea College of Arts, London in 2017.
His artwork, inspired by his photography, comprises intricate ‘mosaics’ of hand-drawn triangles, each one being painstakingly shaped, arranged and meticulously coloured. Produced using a stylus, and a tablet as a ‘digital canvas’, enables him to select precise hues and tones to achieve a vibrancy of colour and maximise the depth of field in each piece.
His work is available as Limited Edition Giclée Prints, using archival quality paper.
More recetly, Andy has been invited to be a featured artist for Lichfield Society of Artists at their forthcoming 75th Anniversary celebrations and selected and invited to participate in the EuropArt Fair in Amsterdam and the Florence Biennale in 2021.
My first ever Cityscape depicts the City of London, or the "Square Mile" viewed from the South West. Surrounding the Lloyd's Building are more recent additions to the scene, including "The Gherkin", "The Cheesegrater" and "The Walkie-Talkie" among others.
The impact of such assertive and angular architecture against natural elements, such as the sky and trees, invokes a dramatic image.
This artwork comprises 3,132 hand drawn Triangles.Created 2020
