Digital Art by Andy Walker
Lake Obersee, Bavaria, Germany
Andy Walker
Andy Walker is based in the Cotswolds and specialises in landscapes, seascapes and botanical studies. He became a professional artist following his selection for an exhibition in the Saatchi Gallery and Chelsea College of Arts, London in 2017.
His artwork, inspired by his photography, comprises intricate ‘mosaics’ of hand-drawn triangles, each one being painstakingly shaped, arranged and meticulously coloured. Produced using a stylus, and a tablet as a ‘digital canvas’, enables him to select precise hues and tones to achieve a vibrancy of colour and maximise the depth of field in each piece.
His work is available as Limited Edition Giclée Prints, using archival quality paper.
More recetly, Andy has been invited to be a featured artist for Lichfield Society of Artists at their forthcoming 75th Anniversary celebrations and selected and invited to participate in the EuropArt Fair in Amsterdam and the Florence Biennale in 2021.
Obersee in German means “Upper Lake”, and is located in the east of Bavaria, in the alpine area of the National Park Berchtesgaden close to the Austrian border.
Formed in the Alps during the melting of glaciers centuries ago, surrounded by high walls of the mountains, the lake is only accessible via Lake Kongisee by electric boat and is literally 'hidden' from civilization.
This view was reached after an exhilarating hike through alpine woods.
This artwork comprises 5.311 hand drawn Triangles.Created 2019
