Rock Family Tree (Death Changes the Landscape)
Mansands Beach Brixham - my family (past and present) represented as rocks in the maelstrom of the universe. (The works in the Family Tree theme are objects and places that my family loved, symbolising love and loss)
Becky is an artist and poet who illustrates the sacred and profane.
Becky’s work is intertextual; deconstructing, reconstructing and creating a coalescence of symbols, allegory and concepts. These reference the nature and implications of theology, religious violence, guilt, piety, art history, the influence of her father’s art, feminism, popular culture and conformity - defining and considering how these are interpreted in adolescence and reconciled in adulthood
