My motivation is to create artwork that forms strong emotional connections. Through my art, I represent the reality of mental health struggles, including the idea of having to “wear a mask” to avoid being seen as weak. However, I also aim to highlight strength and resilience, showing that mental health struggles do not define a person but can instead become a source of power. My work mainly explores the different forms mental health can take, alongside themes of grief. I focus on these subjects because they are deeply personal to me, and I want to be a voice for people who struggle with mental health and find it difficult to speak out. Having experienced similar challenges myself, I understand how hard it can be to open, especially to friends and family, as anxiety can quickly become overwhelming.
