Man on a Truck

"I was born in a small village in Latvia. At present time I am living in Leeds. For many years, I had jobs that are far from art including as a builder. But to paint I started accidentally, or maybe suddenly. Two years ago, I was doing business in a French countryside house. And then it happened. I inherited an artist's colour box. Since then, I haven't stopped painting, and it has become my obsession.

I am happy to have experienced different times including life in the Soviet Union. It has created contradictory feelings in me. This inner disagreement created "Man on a truck"."
