Up OnThe Moor

After 35 years of practise I find that I have barely scatched the surface of this thing called Art but that's half the attraction. Art is certainly about the journey and not so much the destination and what a fascinating journey it is.
The Big Sky was a revelation, so very different from the image in my
mind, there’s nothing dark or gothic within it but now we journey on
to the High Moor, and it’s here especially that the Romanticism of
the moor really comes to the fore. There is a different feeling here. Your reason and logic have no place here they just evaporate to be replaced by emotion, imagination and romanticism, it is truly heavenly, I feel very small amongst it. I could continue with a whole lot of superlative dialogue, but I feel that I could not do much better than this quote by Sabine Baring- Gould it just says it all.
'There is far finer mountain scenery elsewhere,
But there can be no more bracing air,
And the lone upland region possesses a something
Of its own – a charm hard to describe but very real –
Which engages for once and for ever the affeactions
Of those who have made its acquaintance.'S. Baring – Gould.
