Alan Price Roberts has a mixed background with a formal training ranging from stained glass practice under John Piper and Patrick Teyntien, tutelage under Romeo di Giralamo, the now president of the Royal Society of British Artists, and a postgraduate education at the Copenhagen Glyptotek.
He now produces in a mixed style contrasting portraiture and abstraction, painting mainly in acrylics and oils. He is a committee member of the Devon Art Society, the Torbay Guild of Artists and the St Ives Art Club.
