Delia Zorzoliu
Delia Zorzoliu (b. 1987, Bucharest – based in Southampton, UK) is a multidisciplinary Romanian artist working across painting, illustration, and mixed media. Her practice draws from ancient symbolism, cultural memory, and a strong connection to her heritage. She has a degree in Civil Engineering at University of Derby and holds a diploma in graphic design. She explores themes of ritual, transformation, folklore and identity through tactile surfaces and symbolic language.
Her works have been presented in several solo exhibitions and numerous group shows across the UK and Eastern Europe. They are part of both private and public collections, including acquisitions by cultural institutions and state bodies. She has been published in international art catalogues and featured in cross projects that reflect on memory, mythology, and contemporary reinterpretations of history.
“In my art, I seek to restore symbols to their living power — not as historical curiosities, but as visual archetypes still resonating with emotional and spiritual depth.”
