Shimmer
Shay Parsons
I’ve been taking pictures in one form or another for years, starting long before the days of digital. The last few years have given me the opportunity to immerse myself in photography and develop my style.
I use camera movement, multiple exposure and abstraction to create a painterly feel to my images. I’m often asked whether these are paintings or photographs.
I love the connection images can make by cutting through the noise we all live with.
This year some of my work became more graphic and colourful. 'Tutti' and 'Shimmer' arose from a project photographing doors in Lyme Regis. 'Horizon', although made at Burnham on Sea much earlier, is a simple graphic image which complements the other two.
