I live and work in Staverton just outside Totnes and I've been involved with figurative art for many years but also now work in still life and occasionally landscape. 

I like to work with different types of acrylic, oil and charcoal, making marks quickly in an expressive way to capture a moment, gesture or lightness.

The two most important things in my work are – line, and its expressive nature and honesty – light, and how it plays across surfaces, hiding or highlighting form and texture.
