Selene

Dorothy Hanna creates unique, multilayered monotypes and deeply textured collagraphs. She works very intuitively, exploring the tension between control and spontaneity. The abstract imagery in the prints can be interpreted in many ways and looks to an inner world expressed by feelings, rather than words.

Hanna graduated from Belfast College of Art. She has exhibited widely, highlights include The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, The Royal West of England Academy, the International Original Print Exhibition (prize winner 2018). She is an elected member of the Plymouth Society of Artists and the 21 Group. Her work is held in many private and public collections in the UK and abroad.
