Precious is a painting which reflects the value of water.
Water is precious. Based on a dried up river bank in Spain - the Rambla now often only has a trickle of water finding its way down, when once it was a raging torrent. Much of the water, in this desert, has been taken by farmers further up the hillside to nurture their crops, for their very existence.
Gold is precious. There is also reference to gold in the river bank where once prospectors were keen to use their pans to search for gold and wealth
In todays environment the value of clean water can not be understated.
