Obsidian Sheen

I am a London-based Chinese artist who explores the transition between traditional Chinese cultural aesthetics and contemporary ceramics. I draw inspiration from traditional patterns, craftsmanship, and philosophies, translating them into a modern context. I am fascinated by both the natural and the refined — the raw textures of nature and the precision of craft. My work seeks a balance where roughness and delicacy coexist, finding harmony between contrasting materials and expressions.
