Kirsteen Titchener is a self-taught photographic artist born in Surrey, now living in Devon, UK. Using digital editing techniques to combine multiple photographs allows the final image to go beyond what can be created in a single traditional photograph. By drawing on a background in psychology her work often reflects the depth and fragility of human emotions.
Kirsteen's images have recevied international recognition with recent accomplishments including: Winner of the 13th Julia Margaret Cameron Award for Women Photographers (photomanipulation single image) in 2019; The Royal Photographic Society Visual Art Gold Medal in 2018; 1st Place - International Photographer of the Year: Photomanipulation in 2017.Part of the award winning 'Missing' series of photography.
Inspired by the various focal points through the body used in a variety of ancient meditation practices.
