Mirror of Brixham

 

I am intriqued by the ever changing light and pattern effects on water at the edges of streams,rivers, lakes and seas. I endeavour to recreate these reflections, shadows and movement using varying paint surfaces and applying oils and acrylics.

 

I start with water colour studies in plein air and then back in the studio develop my ideas .I use loose brushwork and palette knife applications to portray the ever moving images .Above all I enjoy the creative journey .
