Though I was born and bred in Yorkshire I now live in Devon. In my studio I sculpt beautiful, graceful and sensual figures, which I then have cast into limited edition bronzes.
I studied Ceramics for my B.A at Bristol Polytechnic.
I then went on to study the figure at the Sir Henry Doulton school of Sculpture.
Between these years of studying I spent a year working as a model maker for Aardman Animations, during this time I was asked to be the voice of Wendy in the cult plasticine animated series; "Rex the Runt".
I have won several design competitions and worked on some large figurative commissions; The Dartmouth Mermaid and Man and Boy, Brixham.
I am inspired by mythology, Greek myths are found woven into my sculptures,
I live close to the sea and when not sculpting I will be out kayaking, I feel my love of being out on the water and so close to nature is what sparks my interest in all those ancient gods and goddess.
Elisabeth is widely traveled having back packed through several countries. Kenya was the most inspirational and sparked off a series of beautiful sculptures, which capture the poise and grace of the African form of which this is one.
