Michael's work is inspired by religious and folk art from the Americas, Persia the subcontinent and eastern Europe but also by the work of Redon, Cornell, Feiniger, Hundertwasser, Rothko, Nolde, Munch and Klee among many others.
His recent abstract work investigates pattern colour texture and composition with these three pieces representing a voyage.
