I Caught a Glimpse
Polly Delahoy
Polly Delahoy has been enjoying a return to painting since 2018. Her week is divided between part-time work in the NHS as a therapist and her passion of Painting and Drawing.Skills development has been an important part of her practice over the years and included attending two, yearlong courses with Newlyn School of Art in Cornwall.

She is influenced by her psychological work in the NHS, Nature and Landscape. The sea and mountains have held an allure since her childhood and holidays in Ireland. Gaining a sense of solace as she engages with her surroundings. The landscape evokes a feeling of mystery and enigma. For her being in the landscape is a place to escape, when she paints, she can escape. Her recent work is influenced by the memories of being in the landscape and from Plein air practice.
