Maxine Lives in Torquay and is a member of several art societies including the Torbay Guild of Artists, Devon Art Society, and Teignmouth Art Society
She is a regular exhibitor with these groups and has won a host of trophies and awards at various exhibitions throughout the Southwest and is gaining a reputation for beautiful wildlife work.
She has also enjoyed international success having sold to collectors in Canada, Scotland, and the USA.
Although not formally trained she describes herself as an enthusiastic and passionate painter,. She works mainly in oils and considers herself to be an instinctive colourist, blending colours and using the right tones and complimentary colours to bring the painting to life. She paints a wide spectrum of subjects ranging from animals, birds to marine scenes.
Her work is vibrant and detailed playing with light, shadows and reflections and can be seen around the Southwest including the Oldway Gallery, in Paington and Gallery 1999 in Torquay.
A quirky ever popular hare popping up quizically in the bluebells. A charismatic heart-warming character in beautiful soft textures and beguiling eyes.
