Hi, I'm Jo. My art is influenced by abstract expressionism, impressionism, futurism, and the emotive power of music. My paintings are all about movement- through layers and textures, I aim to capture an energy that resonates on a deeper sensory level.
After a 20-year career in marketing, I embraced redundancy as a chance to fully commit to my passion, founding Jo Wright Creative Ltd. Since then, I’ve exhibited at BobCat Gallery in Putney and was part of the "Visions" collection at Fox Yard Studio. I’ve also showcased my work at numerous gift markets, art fairs, and craft markets across Oxfordshire, connecting directly with collectors and art lovers.
I sell original paintings, prints, and commissions. My preferred medium is acrylic- its versatility and fast drying time match my expressive, energetic style. Though I sometimes experiment with oils, I always return to acrylics.
Being neurodivergent plays a significant role in my creative process. Some of my most powerful pieces have come from working through personal challenges, and I am passionate about the therapeutic benefits of art.
Whether it's a painting, a print, or a bespoke commission, every sale allows me to keep doing what I love - creating art that connects.
Cradle evokes a tender yet uneasy atmosphere with dusty pinks and soft baby blues. Smears of red and flecks of white disrupt the gentle tones, while spattered patches of blue add depth. The composition suggests a fragile balance between warmth and disturbance, capturing a scene of delicate tension.
