Multiple Exposure Photography by Shay Parsons
Almost
Shay Parsons
Shay's work spans the space between painting and photography, using the camera more as a paintbrush than a simple recording device. She starts with a detail which catches her eye, often from an overlooked corner, and crafts it into something unique and evocative.
Images are layered and combined until she's found the feeling she wants. Each finished piece is from a voyage of discovery which can take many turns and disappear down unusual alleyways. She's been taking pictures in one form or another for years, leading her to this way of expressing what she sees in her mind rather than through the viewfinder. The results are original abstract expressionist pieces; exclusively her voice.
