Delamore Artist
Wojciech Jaguzny
Wojciech Jaguzny is a contemporary artist of Polish origin who lives and works in South Devon, England. His practice centers on monotype printmaking — a process that balances control and spontaneity — through which he explores abstraction inspired by the coastal landscape of his rural surroundings. Jaguzny’s work does not depict place directly, but seeks to capture its mood and shifting atmosphere. The marks, textures, and tonal contrasts in his prints echo the movement of wind, water, and light across the land. Each print is a one-off impression — a moment translated into gesture and texture — embodying the unpredictable energy of the natural world. Working primarily in acrylic and enamel on printing plates, he builds layers of paint and texture before transferring them to paper. The process invites chance and imperfection, creating surfaces that feel raw, weathered, and deeply tactile. Through this dialogue between material and emotion, landscape becomes distilled into form and rhythm rather than representation. In addition to printmaking, Jaguzny works with film photography, using it as a quiet study of light, structure, and atmosphere — elements that later inform his prints. He studied Fine Art at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland, where he received his Master’s degree in 2013. His monotypes invite contemplation — a slowing down — offering not a view, but a feeling: the essence of place, suspended in ink and motion.
