Katherine Taylor is a UK-based ceramic artist working primarily with stoneware, exploring form, surface, and material presence through hand-built vessels. Her practice balances respect for traditional making with a contemporary approach to colour, mark-making, and surface design. She uses vibrant, expressive glazes, embracing subtle variation and evidence of the hand, allowing material and process to shape each piece. Self-taught, Katherine developed her practice after leaving a twenty-year career in the NHS and holds a degree in English Literature, which informs her sensitivity to narrative, rhythm, and balance.
