Cherry Lyons BA (hons) A creative mixed media artist drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of colour-drenched textures of coast and country landscapes. With an experimental passion motivated by nature in all its glory, sketching and painting outdoors come rain or shine is particularly exciting. In her garden studio the fun begins when ideas for the next artwork are melded. Media choices include watercolour, acrylics, oils, printmaking or the ancient art of encaustic wax, often necessary to respond to the unending source of inspiration collected in sketchbooks so her adventurous artwork is uniquely painted with originality.

She exhibits widely, is Vice-President of Devon Art Society, a member of several art societies, Devon Artist Network and South Hams Art Forum. Taking part in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 3 times, a finalist in Devon Life Landscape Painter of the Year, SHAF Arts Trail and Devon Open Studios have been incredibly enjoyable events. Commissions are welcomed and, as a qualified educator and demonstrator, knowledge and techniques are shared through inspiring workshops and demonstrations.
