I am a Swiss writer and artist now based in Somerset, UK, after having lived most of my adult life in various Asian countries and Italy.

Painting for me means exploring the interaction of colour and form in order to create particular moods, mostly of places I find especially beautiful and worth capturing to share with viewers.

Above all, though, painting is also an experiment, a challenge and a journey into the unknown. I work mostly with soft pastels, oil and acrylics, but I am always open to trying out new techniques and using new materials, which means that over the years I have developed different styles according to what I want to express and with which materials I am working.

I exhibit locally in Somerset in galleries and Art Fairs.

Seen from a distant shore, the old pier of Weston-super-Mare is dwarfed by a big evening sky. There is something very poignant about this pier which has been left to decay for decades and which is still, somehow, standing strong and - for me - one of the most beautiful landmarks of Somerset
