Amelia’s portraits explore authenticity and presence, whilst continuing her journey developing her painting skills.
Working predominantly in oil, Amelia uses traditional painting techniques, to create contemporary portraits which transcend the viewer beyond the surface. Drawing is an important part of her practice and forms the base on which her works are created.
Amelia has exhibited work locally and nationally, notably appearing on Portrait Artist of the year on Sky Arts, and shortlisted for the Herbert Smith Freehills Portrait Award 2023 (previously known as the BP Portrait Award).
Amelia runs a Portrait Club in her studio, where she enjoys sharing her passion for portraiture.
