Pot Family Tree (Prometheus I)
Milton Head Pottery Brixham 1950 -1959 - My family represented as pots created in my father’s pottery and decorated by him.
Working from her South Devon-based studio Becky creates a coalescence of allegorical art and concepts. These reference the nature and implications of theology, religious violence, guilt, piety, art history, feminism, popular culture and conformity - defining and considering how these are interpreted in adolescence. Becky’s work is intertextual; deconstructing and reconstructing the relationship between her family’s art, and the influences on adolescence, into a new context in art and text
