Alison uses a variety of kiln forming techniques using both sheet glass and powders to produce vessels, sculptural pieces and wall hangings. Most of her inspiration is taken from the colours and patterns that occur naturally in the landscape, and the coast and sea have a particular draw

I have repurposed and restored an antique printers tray to create a field of poppies in vibrant colours.  Each poppy is cut using a saw and I have used a kiln carving technique to produce the different textures and levels to make the poppies ‘pop’.
