Mònica Garcia-Alonso

Since I was a child, I have been fascinated by nature. I have a degree in biology, through which I discovered the amazing world of insects. Born in Barcelona, growing by the sea, I had the opportunity of diving and observing small colourful creatures such as Nudibranchs. All these creatures can easily be missed unless we look for them. With my glass work, I try to capture the beauty of these small life forms, not always as an exact representation, but in abstract form, highlighting their diversity of colours and textures.
