Evening Rest

I am an artist living in Torquay working in the medium of watercolour. I was born and grew up in Salisbury and being among many historical buildings, it gave me an early interest in architecture. I have always enjoyed drawing and painting urban scenes but equally enjoy capturing landscapes and seascapes.

 I work from my studio in Torquay where I produce many different studies from both the UK and overseas. I also enjoy painting plein air, capturing the beauty of the landscape, seascape and urban scenes away from the comfort of the studio, as this offers a different dynamic to watercolour.

 I have been involved in many exhibitions over the years and have had the opportunity to hold several solo shows which I very much enjoy. For me exhibiting is still the best part of artistry, to share your view of the world with the wider audience. Through my observation, I hope to evoke emotion and connection for the viewer and offer seeing an impression of the world that may never have been noticed or felt before.
