Rachel Garner

With a Fine Art degree from Newcastle University (1999-2003), I have trekked south, exhibiting in Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire along the way.

 

With my heart now firmly settled in Devon, my work has evolved from pure abstraction to a semi figurative style, but the underlying current of my work remains the same; endeavouring to capture, with a use of colour and layering, a real sense of place. My most recent pieces, using resin, plaster, oil pigment and varnish, further enhances the experience playing with the juxtaposition of mediums, as I strive to portray the essence of a scene and take the viewer along with me!
