Assorted Tableware

Georgi is a ceramic artist based in Totnes, Devon. She studied 3D Design at Brighton University, specialising in ceramics, and now works as a full-time maker. Her tableware is informed by the contour lines of Ordnance Survey maps, exploring how layered lines stack and flow into one another to create a sense of movement across each form.

 

Her practice balances playfulness with functionality, resulting in pieces that are both practical and expressive. Georgi works with clay bodies that echo the local landscape — from the rich peat soils of Dartmoor to the iron-red cliffs of the Devon coastline. She has developed her own range of glazes to evoke horizons and shifting landscapes, using colours drawn directly from the surrounding countryside.

All work is fired to stoneware in electric kilns, producing durable, everyday objects rooted in place and process.
