Jan Treylan's photographs are about emotion, connections and capturing fleeting moments. What captivates Jan and holds his attention inside a great photo is not easily explained but it is something to do with entering the photographers mind; What are they seeing? Is he connected and in communication with the artist? Shared experiences bring a feeling of worth and 'being there' as he tries to express his love of Devon and the beautiful Teign Valley. Jan studied at Plymouth Art College, in the photography department, in the early 1970's. After a career in mainly sports photography.
