My work is about line, form and process, each of these a central rhythm informing my practice. Never too far from water, my work is inspired by weatherworn coastal palettes: the depth and subtlety in the change of hues between land, sea and horizon. My thrown work is made on a traditional kick wheel, with an emphasis on form, whilst my hand built work makes reference to rocks, plant life and landscape. I grew up in Dartington where I still have strong roots, my studio is in Exeter where I live and work. My emerging work is an exploration of the relationship between my drawings, paintings with my 3D pieces. Welcome to my new vases!
