Alison Wilson
Alison Wilson graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the UK in 1985 and completed a certificate course in printmaking from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in Singapore in 2007. Drawn to hands on techniques, her art practice encompasses printmaking, drawing and papermaking.
Sharing her love of botany, birds, and beach, artist Alison Wilson creates high quality, nature-based fine art and textiles, especially designed to enhance your interior spaces and home. Her unique and small limited edition print collections are hand-made, using traditional printmaking and stitching techniques at her studio in Singapore.
Many of the ideas for her artwork come from her experiences and observations whilst being out in nature. She is particularly fascinated with marine life and being submersed in water.
‘The Wait of Water’ is an exciting new collaboration between poet Paul Tobin & artist Alison Wilson. A collection of original poetry and six linocuts that illustrate six key poems. The three linocuts presented at Design Room 2021 will be included in this publication out later this year.
She divides her time between Devon and Singapore.
