Spending time on Dartmoor, capturing emotion, erosion and the collision between man and nature, or deep in the countryside observing, noticing how infinitesimal I am in the vastness is truly humbling; how to capture the feeling is a constant source of inspiration and intrigue! I have inadvertently set myself a lifelong challenge - how to capture what I see, feel and respond to this rugged, beautiful, brutalised world?! Paint, paint and paint - seems to be the only answer.
