Linoprint by Lynette Taylor
Red Chair
Lynette Taylor
I am a printmaker and have been working over the past few years mainly with relief printmaking, either using woodcut or linocut. Most of my prints are produced without a press.
I like the hand printing method because it allows more control; and the more painterly and textural possibilities have suited my current subjects.
My work is concerned with the passage of time as evidenced in layering of surfaces and colours, hinting at past memories or stories.
I have exhibited work in the Printmakers shows at TAAG, Teignmouth, and Birdwood House, Totnes, and in the Printmakers open exhibitions at the Town Mill, Lyme Regis, and The Gallery, Symondsbury Abbey. My work was selected for the last South West Academy show at Exeter Castle.
