Janet Ventre is a member of the Torbay Guild of Artists and works from her studio at Cockington Court. She first became interested in mosaics 20 years ago when she attended a short course but it wasn't until 2017 that she decided to devote herself full time to the craft.
She produces stunniing pictures, mirrors, coasters and pendants all crafted from stained glass of every hue, unglazed porcelain tiles and mirrored tiles.
This piece was completed on Plymouth waterfront while taking part as a wildcard for Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2019, on a very rainy day.
