Jane Hirst

After graduating with BA Hons Degree in Textile Design from UEL I worked in London as an in -house illustrator before making the move to Devon in 2010. I continued to work in digital illustration and in 2017 I began experimenting with collage which enabled me to create imagery in a very different way. I enjoy the hands-on approach of using paper, fabric, recycled elements and my own paper designs to make original artwork. I am inspired by flora, leaves, plants, and botanical silhouettes. My background in textile design inspires me to explore colour and layering to create bold and vibrant statement pieces.
