Lea’s pots combine form, function, colour and pattern.

 

Her colourful wheel thrown ceramics, includes a wide range of tableware, and some larger one of ceramic pieces. Her main passions are throwing, pattern, surface and colour. She enjoys working with oxidised stoneware, as the process enables her to combine the depth and texture of stoneware glazes with the decorative freedom more often associated with lower fired ceramics.

 

The pots are individually decorated with free and abstract designs, using multiple layers of glazes, made to her own recipes. Glaze and surface design development are an ongoing part of the making process.

 

All the pots are hand made in her studio and shop, The Happy Crab Gallery, in Weymouth.
