Upon finishing college with an Art and Design qualification, she moved from Wales to London in the late 1980s to study antique porcelain restoration. She began working in the family antiques business whilst also following a corporate career in the city until the late 1990s.
Since 2002, Lili has been exhibiting and selling her own work, often taking on commissions for; large abstract paintings and small sculptural works of art. In 2009 she took up the challenge of Creative Designer for a luxury clothing brand and her designer swimwear and beachwear has been selling in boutiques across the world ever since.
“As a Mix Media Artist, I take my inspiration from my dual heritage. I am Celtic and African and those two things combined with my love for nature inspires me to create unique, vibrant 2 D and 3D artworks which tell a story. Having studied antique porcelain restoration way back in the 1980s, I went on to have a corporate career and motherhood before returning to art in 2000, which is when I began taking on commissioned paintings. Since 2009 I have designed and sold resort-wear across the globe and when I relocated to Devon in 2014, I returned to my first love of ceramics. I incorporate bold colours, texture and movement in all my artwork, whether that be a watercolour painting or a ceramic vessel to be used on a day to day basis around the home”.
