AnisotropicArt by Ray Vyse
I create unique wall-art by carving, shaping and colouring wood and laminated wood, using saws, chisels and power tools. In some of my work I seek out the subtle, directional qualities in the wood grain while in others, colour is added to create enhanced relief effects or patterns.
Much of my work features 3D construction or bold relief patterns and interesting colour combinations which are different when seen from left and right. I love working in wood and enjoy creating unique pieces which often have tactile qualities.
Actually a 3D wall-hanging, projecting 7 cm with my bespoke "V" hanging system. This shaped wood construction has a twin, digital image which I have used to create 'Thankyou' gifts in the form of mugs.
I have given these and similar gifts to the Oxford Vaccine Professors and some local key workers in appreciation of their work in these Covid times. Julie - I am hoping you will let me sell my mugs instead of cards. Could you tell me if you would still charge 30% commission - I don't think people will pay much for a mug and they are expensive to have made and delivered.
