Green Field

Simon Ripley makes mono-print linocuts in his Crediton studio using an 1850's Columbian Press. The press drives ink into Japanese papers under great pressure, wet ink imprinted on top of wet to give the subtle broken surface patterns that are typical of Simon's work. The intention is to create a meditative image that perhaps reminds you of a place, a time, a conversation.
