'I don't intentionally position my work within a specific genre. There are links that I discover, and elements that I recognise as having a place, or that may have an influence on my work, or on how I see things at a particular time. Work often stems from thought associations with specific places and environments, where a cognitive 'map' is formed during early stages of connection with a physical site.
I work a 'clean art' studio and feel that artists have an environmental responsibility to clean up on materials and techniques. I use water-based paints and media, no solvents or toxic chemicals and treeless and sustainable papers and canvas.'Our memory is our coherence...our reason, our feeling, even our action.'
