EDS Preparatory Work and Final Piece
2020 MTS Student
Student from the Torbay based Medical Tuition Service undertaking art GCSE.
This exhibition shows a truly unique style of working in the submissions of each young artist. Candidates showcase inspired work that expresses their own ideas and preferences for influence, media, scale and technique. A rich collection of work with variety in style and approach. Including photography, digital media, printmaking, mixed media, model making, painting and drawing.
“on sight of this exhibition it is abundantly clear that each of these young artists has a unique voice. Their exploration through art has given them the opportunity to recognise that voice, to develop it and to use it, what a privilege and joy it is to be part of their journey”
Claire Harmer, Art Teacher MTS
The pink layer represents the faulty connective tissues causing Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. EDS sufferers are known as medical zebras, conditions like this are not the norm but they DO exist.
