My 2D work centres almost exclusively around animals, in particular dogs. I seek to explore their characters and perhaps show something of their inner lives, also our relationship with them - which can speak to an almost ineffable quality of friendship and love. 

 

I primarily work in watercolour and pencil, and use my sketchbook practice and drawing from life to explore and develop my work. I have been working to commission and also on self-directed projects for the last couple of years.

 

Away from the 2D work I have been working in craft and design for the last thirty years.
